Objectives

Our  objectives in developing this web site are:

To provide a resource  containing genealogical  information primarily for our family and relatives but as we realized this automatically encompasses the whole Extended  Dashora Community

To be able to remember our relatives some of whom we have rarely seen

To be able to determine how people are related to us

To provide documented information for future generations

To document the collective memory of our family history  so that our future generations do not feel lost about  their origins as we feel - specially for those of us who do not live in India

Required Data and Information

We will like to include for all male and female relatives living or deceased the following information

Full Name
This includes First Name, Middle Name and Last (Family) name (sir name).
In our database for females their maiden last name is used
(and not the married name as is customary).

Aliases
(other names by which people are known by)

Date of birth

Place of Birth

Sex ( Male or Female)

Date of marriage

Place of Marriage

Names of children and all of the above information about them

Date of death or an indication if not living anymore

Significant events in their life

Any other special data such as profession, achievements or other events in their life or other facts that need to be remembered by future generations

Photographs  (we recommend passport style)

We need your help in making this database as complete as possible
